So far so good. Week one. My dogs love it and immediately got used to it. Both dogs are 10lbs each so it’s the perfect size. I know it’s advertised mostly for cats but my dogs love it. It’s quiet, water does not get cloudy. I would clean it twice a week instead of once a week as instructed. Great product!
This stainless water fountain is nearly SILENT! I love the window on the front that allows me to see the water level....It was very easy to assemble and I am presuming it will be just as easy to clean every 2 weeks. I went ahead and ordered the extra filters so I'm ready to enjoy it for a very long time.
I do see the "award winning" aspects to this fountain over competitors in the all stainless steel, dishwasher safe design which leads to a more sanitary option. Also, the manual suggests to change both filters every two weeks and uses a filter that catches debris that is twice as big; another model I have owned suggested changing every month and the filter was smaller and came out a lot dirtier. I love the choice in color options and I have put this (pump aside) in the dishwasher twice already after having it about a week without any problems. Future considerations should be to change the white plug to black to match the black model; they are all white, but not a deal breaker. Also, I look forward to trying a fountain that can keep the water cold as a fridge would. For now, I keep some filtered water in a 304 food grade stainless steel pitcher with a lid and fill the reservoir just enough to change it twice daily morning and night. Overall, I do recommend this model and brand. Be careful choosing a fountain. Make sure both the lid and container is stainless steel if you want germ resistance. I have 5 cats and they all approved. Keeps them all interested in drinking for sure!
This would be a 5 star item if the pump components could be disassembled and cleaned, and if the tube wasn't made of plastic. It is so much better than an all plastic fountain, but I clean thoroughly it every other day and pink bacterial slime still builds up in that plastic tube and in the pump housing. There is just far too much plastic in this fountain. It would also be nice if there was some type of cable management in the design.
This is the best water fountain Veken sells so far. My cats and dog love it. Remember to clean the pump once a month and replace the filters at least once a month. They sayevery 2 weeks.Most parts ARE dishwasher safe. I have another veken fountain, plastic. That one corrodesfrom water after time.this one does not have calcium build up like the plastic one. This is well worth the money. Get it dear, you won't be disappointed!
